Who We Are

A Cat's Fair Alternative To Euthanasia is an independently run cat rescue, operated by a small group of volunteers who are working to help with cat over-population and also to find homes for cats in need.

News

Currently, we are working on a big TNR (trap/neuter/return) project in Kamloops. Most of the cats were born feral (wild) and haven't had any human contact. These cats, left to multiply, have grown to a large colony of breeding cats. We are humanely trapping them, and having them spayed/neutered, tattooed, vaccinated and dewormed. Then, they are released to where they were trapped and are being fed. What started out as a small project, is rapidly growing, as we are realizing there are many more cats in the area than we had anticipated. We need to make sure we catch ALL of these cats and have them spayed/neutered, otherwise the numbers will continue to rise. Our biggest concern right now is the veterinary costs. If you can afford to donate towards the veterinary bills, any amount would be appreciated! Please read below for how to donate. Thank you!

Although we are a non profit group, we don't yet have registered charity status. At this time we regret that we cannot issue tax receipts. We thank you for your support!

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in adopting a cat from us, you can request an application. Once we receive the application, we will thoroughly look it over and consider placing the cat in your home. Cats are not always placed with the first applicant. We must place the cat in the home that we see fits best. Adoption fees do apply as they are necessary to cover the costs of spaying/neutering, vaccinating, as well as any additional medical costs that can arise.

Come Visit Us!Image hosting by Photobucket

We are located in Kamloops, British Columbia. If you would like to visit any of our adoptable animals, please let us know and we'll send you an application to adopt. Once this application has been approved, we will schedule a meeting. We don't have an actual shelter; animals are located in foster homes so scheduled appointments are a must.
